Rector of OSMU, Professor Maria A. LIVZAN, took part in the meeting of Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities, dedicated to the beginning of a new academic year.
Mikhail A. MURASHKO, Minister of Public Health of the Russian Federation, delivered an introductory speech on the willingness of educational organizations for higher education (within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation) for a new 2020/2021 academic year. He urged his colleagues to make every effort to start the educational process safely and to avoid the spread of new coronavirus infection. Mikhail A. MURASHKO also thanked universities for their assistance in combating the pandemic.
Anna Y. POPOVA, Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, expressed her gratitude to medical universities for training specialists in the field of Preventive Medicine, thanks to which the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance system has proved its worth.
Tatyana M. LITVINOVA, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Sechenov University, shared her experience in organization of the educational process.
Alexander V. KOLSANOV, Rector of Samara State Medical University, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told about the experience of working with the tools for distance learning in the conditions of pandemic.
Sergey A. SAYGANOV, Rector of I.I. Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University, gave recommendations in the organization of dormitories' work.
At the end of the event, the Minister of Public Health Mikhail A. MURASHKO congratulated the participants of the meeting on the new academic year.
