Medical volunteers together with the Ministry of Public Health of Omsk Region have held the marathon of blood donation timed to World Blood Donor Day. Within the framework of the marathon, all people coming to a Blood Center could ask questions, test their knowledge and get special booklets. Albina BERGUTOVA, a regional coordinator in the sphere of a regular donorship promotion, says, “It has already become a tradition to hold a lot of charity events in a variety of formats just before World Blood Donor Day. In nowadays difficult situation it is of great importance to draw people’s attention to donorship.” Due to the current epidemiological situation the most part of the marathon was held online: the flashmob “Why Have I Become a Donor?” and information support of the marathon were organized on social networks.
